Hello, we're Niamh and James, and we're delighted to welcome you to Għadira Bay Short Stays.

Whether you're visiting Malta for a relaxing beach holiday, a family getaway, or an island adventure, our goal is simple - to make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Our Story

Our journey began thousands of miles away in Australia, where Niamh, originally from Ireland, and James, a proud Maltese local, first met while living and working abroad.

What started as a chance encounter quickly grew into a shared passion for travel, discovering new cultures, and creating unforgettable experiences. In 2012, we chose to settle in James's hometown, the beautiful seaside town of Mellieħa, overlooking Malta's stunning northern coastline.

Today, we're proud to call this incredible place home and even prouder to share it with visitors from around the world.

Inspired by Our Travels

Travelling has always been a huge part of our lives.

Over the years we've stayed in boutique hotels, family-run guesthouses, luxury resorts, and holiday apartments across many countries. Every trip taught us something new about great hospitality.

We discovered that the best stays aren't necessarily the most luxurious - they're the ones where you feel genuinely welcomed, where every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and where your host truly cares about your experience.

Those lessons inspire everything we do today.

Today, Niamh manages the day-to-day hosting while balancing family life as a mum and business owner. James supports the business behind the scenes, and together we're committed to providing friendly, personal service to every guest.
